OUR STORY

Yoga is more than movement—it’s a way of being.
I created Root & Rise to guide you on a journey of self-discovery, balance, and transformation.
For me, yoga has never been about mastering the hardest asana poses, being the most flexible, or wearing expensive yoga clothes. Don't get me wrong—I appreciate beautifully designed spaces, and I love the challenge of deepening my asana practice. But that’s not the goal.
I still can’t do 'Bird of Paradise'—maybe one day I will, maybe I won’t. And that’s okay. Because the real aim of yoga isn’t about perfecting a pose; it’s about unity, self-realization, and learning to be truly present with yourself.
BACK TO
OUR REAL SELF
Asanas are just one part of the journey. The real practice starts in the often-overlooked areas—through the wisdom of the Yamas and Niyamas, through pranayama, and through the ability to direct our energy with awareness. It’s in learning to be still that we begin to cut through the noise of the world and the distractions of our own mind.
Citta vritti nirodha—yoga is the quieting of the mind’s fluctuations. And then we can truly listen—to our body, to our breath, to the space beyond the physical—we tap into an infinite resource within and beyond us.
I’ve been practicing yoga for years, and through Hatha and Ashtanga, I’ve found tools that help me navigate daily life with more clarity, resilience, and ease.
Yoga is a lifelong journey, and I am always learning. But I am here to share what I know so far—to guide, to hold space, and to help others connect with themselves on a deeper level. Because in the end, I truly believe we are all searching for the same thing. We just walk different paths to find it.
As one of my teachers always says:
"We are all playful, peaceful, joyful, and fearless beings."
May your practice guide you home to yourself.
I’m here to walk with you on this journey.
